If you’re a writer, or a wannabe writer, with talent, enthusiasm and a love for our site, then we need you!
We’re on the lookout for new contributors who can add fresh content and perspective to our site. If this is you, please drop us a line.
As we are a brand new startup, we are unable to offer remuneration for most contributions at this time. As much as we hate this – The Nopebook itself is run by freelance writers who are all too familiar with the problem – it’s the only way we can keep afloat. We do currently have a financial plan in motion, and as soon as it is viable we will be offering payment to all of our writers. If you’d like to be added to our list of freelancers to contact when this becomes possible, please let us know.
This said, we do have a small fund to help us pay BAME, trans and other minority writers, since we want to remain an intersectional publication without taking advantage of minority writers. All paid pitches are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we always try to support and include as many diverse writers as possible. Our budget is limited so please don’t be discouraged if pitches aren’t accepted on the first try.
If you have any questions or comments on this or our payment policy, please get in touch and we’d be happy to talk to you!
Please note: We try our best to reply to every pitch, but we receive a huge amount of interest from writers, so please bear with us if it takes a while to respond. If you haven’t heard back from us within 3 weeks, please let us know.
We also have a limited number of slots per month, so please don’t be discouraged if your pitches are not accepted the first time round.
